Have you undoubtedly wondered how to maintain and keep good-looking skin on your body? Well, let’s then explore this ‘topic’ by discussing the importance of natural body skincare by looking at the simple ways to achieve it!

You need to get your entire body the attention it deserves guys. It represents the whole of us, and you should implement skincare on your body too.

Many unfortunately often take for granted the importance of looking after the body and the majority just do the bare minimum like a quick wash with whether they find but focus more on their faces.


Is ‘just’ washing the body enough?

The skin body needs to be maintained properly by washing it when necessary. Also adding a few other steps is just as important. Having a clean body, it’s essential and it is recommended to wash it at least 3 to 4 times a week. But I should break down to you that this is not enough to achieve healthy and glowing skin.

Yep, you heard that right! The key secret here goes down to the additional steps and products that you implement on your skin. That is what truly makes a difference.

And although it might be unusual to think of, excessive washing can cause more dryness to your skin since the water used often strips away essential oils that need to stay on your skin.

And if you want to have naturally healthy skin, you should then not be washing your body frequently and should aim at washing it a few times a week and apply the simple steps that we will discuss later.

Guys, it’s important to know this since there’s this misunderstanding that the more you wash your body the better! It’s the complete opposite!

Let’s now look at the simple ways or steps to follow to achieve healthy and ‘glowing’ skin on your body.


-Clean your Body with a Body Washwashing body

To start with the first step should be to (of course) clean your body by washing it.

It is important to clean all the dirt and impurities amassed into your body and the best way to do it is to use a body wash designed for your condition (in this case dry sensitive skin) that will prevent irritation and dryness into the skin.

Besides, you should be using the right body brush to clean the skin properly because most of the time using your hands only might not be enough.

And to help with blood circulation and boost your metabolism, you should aim to brush your skin slowly and gently. By doing so you will notice a huge difference in your skin.

Once you have gently brushed your skin, make sure to rinse off the body wash properly before moving forward.


2 Additional steps to implement- not a must:

*Exfoliating-with Body Scrub body scrub

Since the skin of our body is rougher than our face, to help you easily get rid of dead skin cells if you wish, you can decide to exfoliate.

If you decide to implement a body scrub (which is highly recommended), you should be applying it 2 to 3 times a week – basically right after washing your body.

In some cases, to help get rid of dry dead skin first, people start by scrubbing the body to then clean and wash it.

It is completely up to you, and depending on what you are most comfortable with, you can either start with a body scrub or vice versa.

The next step should be to shave the hairy parts of your body and do it properly!

And although it might take you longer in the shower it is important to understand how to shave correctly by using the right shaving razor (shaving equipment).

Again, it’s not a must but if you are looking for glowing and radiant skin then you might consider taking the time to shave the’ unwanted hair’.

-Moisturise the body- Body Cream/Lotion moisturiser

The next most important step which you should not be skipping is to moisturise the body with either a body cream or a lotion.

You need to make sure to slather your body from head to toe to help hydrate the skin and let the cream or lotion (moisturiser) absorb the skin before wearing your clothes on.

Besides, many would advise you to use a body cream in colder weather and a body lotion in warmer weather.

But that is also completely up to each individual and you should stick and do what works best for you.


~Protect the skin sun protection

Last but not least, you can apply sunscreen depending on the sun exposure that you might get afterwards.

Unlike your face, the body does not get much sun exposure. Therefore, you do not necessarily need to apply it unless it’s unavoidable like going to the beach or going to places where you can get higher sun exposure or on extremely hot days.
