How did I come across the product?
My reason for trying CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid? Of course, because of acne guys. My skin was struggling with some intense breakouts, and I needed a solution. That’s when I stumbled upon this product and its claims of preventing acne while being gentle on dry, sensitive skin.
As someone who already trusted and loved the CeraVe brand (I was already using their hydrating cleanser), I figured it was worth a shot to switch things up and give their SA cleanser a try. Plus, I was really drawn to the promise of a simple-yet-effective formula.
My experience with the product:
I was really hoping to love the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
Don’t get me wrong – Like I said, I was initially drawn to the product’s claims of preventing acne and being gentle on dry, sensitive skin. And as a fan of the CeraVe brand and their hydrating cleanser, I had high hopes for the SA cleanser.
However, upon application, I felt a tickling sensation and a bit of burning that went away after a few seconds. I decided to still give it a try. I used it a few times a week for two months, but unfortunately, it didn’t really make a significant difference for my skin. So, I switched back to my trusty Cerave hydrating foam cleanser.
It’s not the end of the world, though! Despite not working for me, it may still be effective for others, so I suggest giving it a try if you’re looking for a new cleanser to treat acne.
Is it recommend for people with dry and sensitive skin?
Yes, people with dry and sensitive skin can use the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid to keep the skin hydrated and sffmaintain its natural barrier. Patch testing is always a good idea before using it on your face, especially if you have sensitive skin. By doing so, you can determine if the product is suitable for your skin type and if any adverse reactions occur.
To conclude, the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid is a great option for those looking for a gentle yet effective exfoliating cleanser that can help to treat and prevent acne, while also providing hydration and protection to the skin. Its non-comedogenic and fragrance-free formula makes it suitable for all skin types, and its affordable price point makes it accessible to most.
